The Wellness Lounge, a long-awaited family-run business, has finally opened its doors on Main Street on Monday 18th May, 2026. The business includes a co-working space, a community area where events will later be hosted, and spaces for beauty treatments led by independent beauticians, plus more small spaces for businesses. It is stated in a press release from the official The Wellness Lounge website that the business ‘is designed to help students and newly qualified professionals launch their careers’.
The community room on the first floor will be available to rent by groups in Garforth for events and activities- and has already been host to a dance class by Funky Jives and yoga practice by The K Yoga Lifestyle. The business officially opens to everyone today, but had their grand opening on Saturday where guests were given a tour.
Previously to being The Wellness Lounge, the building was a local bank.
Lucy Pimblott, the director of operations, stated on her website that ‘”we know that Garforth Main Street may have lost its Halifax branch, but it is gaining a vibrant space where local small businesses can thrive and where independent businesses, entrepreneurs, community and well-being are championed.”’
