On Monday 4th May, Eco Friendly Garforth is helping to facilitate the town’s first ‘Yard Sale Trail’ in Garforth, where people will be selling items including furniture, books, toys and more from their front yards between 10am and 3pm.

Thirteen different addresses, scattered around Garforth, will be participating, the details of which can be found here. There is also an official website where people can consult the details here. During the five hours that the trail is running, people are encouraged to walk around Garforth, finding new treasures along the way.

The Yard Sale Trail even has a Facebook events page of its own, where 11 people have marked as attending and 74 as interested.

Eco-Friendly Garforth describes itself as ‘working towards making our community a nature-friendly, socially just and zero carbon place.’ It runs the Garforth Repair Café every month, where people can bring in broken items and members of Eco Friendly Garforth repair them.

It is also running the Fair Shares programme, a youth group that carries out sustainability-focused activities for young people aged 12-17 years old, like the cooking workshops that were run back in February.

The Yard Sale Trail is open to everyone.
