In Garforth and LS25…
On the 29th August, there will be an 80s/90s disco night from 8-10pm at the Fly Line pub, LS25 2EB, with classics from that era played by DJ Damo.
Additionally, there is another event held by PubLife at the Fly Line later in the month, a big family quiz held on the 31st at 8pm.
Following bad weather on the original date, The Big Lunch, lead by Incredible Edible Garforth, has been rescheduled for Saturday 22nd August, 11.30am-1.30pm, at the Garforth Community Wildlife Area, LS25 1PP. It is advised to bring a picnic and some food to share! GULP (Garforth Ukelele Players) will also be there performing.
On the 22nd and the 23rd, from 10am-5pm, there will also be the Lotherton Kite Festival at Lotherton Hall, LS25 3EB. It is supported by the Northern Kite Group and the first of its kind! It will be free to attend with entrance to Lotherton Hall. Dogs are allowed to attend.

Children will also have an opportunity to bring their own teddy bears that can be dropped from the sky with parachutes! This will happen from 11am-1pm.
In other news…
Good Life Dog Rescue are looking for donations of dog treats and toys for their rescue. They would appreciate healthy, natural dog treats, soft treats for older dogs or those with dental issues and long-lasting chews.
They are also looking for dog toys for larger dogs and larger teddies.
Donations can be dropped off at WF5 0QG at any time and local collection can possibly be arranged.
