Just some extra news about Garforth and the surrounding area as spring turns to summer…

-Kippax Gala is happening on the 6th June, from 11am-5pm @ the Kippax Welfare Sports Ground, LS25 7BP. There will be stalls, entertainment, food, games, arts and crafts, and Breeze presence.

-On the 7th June, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, there will be a free open-air mini-concert by Wakefield Orchestral Wind at Springhead Park, LS26 0DY.

-It’s also The Gascoigne’s monthly open-mic night this Sunday, so feel free to make your way there. There should be an outside stage, weather permitting.

-Want to attend a book talk on a floating barge? At Hold Fast Bookshop on the 10th June at 7 @ Leeds Docks, there will be a talk about how climate change is presented in fiction by a fella with a PhD in Zoology! You can find the tickets here.

-Leeds Lit Fest is running from the 6th-14th June this year, with plenty of talks and events coming up across the city. You can learn more about it here.
